Cisdem AppCrypt is a powerful app and website blocker designed to enhance productivity and protect privacy. However, some users may encounter issues where Cisdem AppCrypt does not block websites or keyword searches. In this guide, we’ve outlined 4 effective solutions to help you troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

Free Download macOS 10.12 or later

1. Check whether your browser is supported

Cisdem AppCrypt supports 6 browsers: Chrome, Safari, Opera, Opera X, Brave and Edge. If the browser you are using does not included in the list, we suggest you switch to one of the supported browser for full functionality. What’s more, feel free to contact our support team with the name of your browser, our R&D department will take it into consideration with future versions.

2. Check whether Cisdem AppCrypt has been authorized

To block websites effectively, Cisdem AppCrypt must be granted to control browsers in your Mac’s System Settings. Just run System Settings, go to Privacy & Security> Automation, make sure Cisdem AppCrypt is allowed to control the browsers you are using.

3. Verify schedule setup

The schedule is used to setup the period to block websites and apps, so if no schedule has been set up, no websites will be blocked. Please go to the Schedule section, and make sure you've set up a schedule to block those websites.

4. Verify that WebBlock is enabled

You can temporarily disable the App Lock and Web Block function via the padlock icon on the top menu bar. So please click the Padlock icon at the top menu bar and make sure the WebBlock function is enabled. No password is needed to enable the WebBlock function.

Conclusion

The above 4 solutions should help you figure out why the websites are not being blocked. If the problem persists, please send an email to our support team at support@cisdem.com for further assistance.
